"Rock" (Holding) Hello Mel, Thought we would give an update on Rock. He is still at the vet. We just got the call that he is doing much better and is going to make it according to the vet. They are keeping him because he is still passing blood, they may release him Monday if everything goes as planned. He ate his first food this morning. So cross the fingers. You know, if this was a person, this doctor would probably lose his license or at least be reprimanded, it is a shame. How many mistakes has he made? He told me over the phone it was he that wrote it wrong on the chart. I was stunned!
"Rock" Mel, I want to thank you for your site!!! Without it we would have lost our pup because of the heavy amount of blood loss. We have taken him to a different vet and he now is sedated and on IV's. Turns out this stupid Dr. <name withheld>, gave this 15lb pup 227mg of Previcox, when he should have only been given 34mg. This was enough for a 100lb dog. We are not out of the woods yet but without your info I would not have reacted so fast to the symptoms. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! You may have saved my dogs life!!!!! Sid
"Rock" Hello I need to know if there is anything I can give my dog to offset the effects of this poison. At the request of my vet for a swollen ankle on my stud Jack Russell, I gave him this stuff today and noticed after 4 hours he was loosing his stomach. Now at 10:45 PM he has severe diarrhea with a good amount of blood with it. I only gave him ONE TABLET and it is doing this. Is there anything you can tell me? I went to the Merial site but found no poison control info. It is a pretty generic site. Thanks for any info, Sid in Georgia |
