Hello,

My name is Ewelina. First of I wold like to say I am very sorry for your loss. I know how painful it is to lose a best friend. I have a similar story to yours and I am trying to avoid the end result.

I've been told by my vet yesterday that my dog needs to be put on Previcox because of her spine pain. She has never been on any medication. I, as always, went online to research about Previcox, and if it is safe for Maya. I came upon your site.

I was just wondering, is this story really true? If so how come vets don't tell you about the side effects? I was told by the vet that if I start seeing that my dog is drowsy or basically starts acting weird I shall give them a call and they will send me another medication to distribute to her.

I am really anti-med person, I feel like its basically a bunch of chemicals that suppress what a dogs body is naturally supposed to fight off. I would like to know what do you recommend I do in this situation.

I don't know if its wise that I call my vet and oppose his treatment. What do you suggest?

Thank you.
Ewelina
