I am so sorry for your loss of Rowdy. I took my little lab/Sheppard mix, Atlanta, to the vet today.  She was hit by the neighbors with either a golf club or they kicked her and injured her right hind leg. 

The vet said that she either had a small fracture in her pelvis or just severe deep muscle bruising and he prescribed Previcox.  He wants her to take 1/2 tablet once a day for 10 days. 

I made the mistake of giving her the 1/2 tablet as soon as we got home and then came in the house to research what I was giving her. I would have never given her the first dosage if I had read your article first.  She will not have another dosage.  I have elected to give her a baby aspirin until she's better.
