Previcox Emails
"Orange" Averted Dear Mel, I just write to thank you for
sharing your sad experience of loosing Rowdy a couple of years ago. I am the "mother" of Orange,
a 13 month old cross Husky and Labrador
which we found abandoned in a rubish container at about 3 days old with
the umbilical cord still attached and about to starve. We bottle fed
her, saw her through parvovirus and mange, fought to keep her alive and
finally succeded. She is very dear to us. Recently we noticed she was limping after going for a run and took her to the vet, after tests and X rays we were told she has arthritis due to weak bones, probably a result of the very poor start to her life. The
solution was to medicate her, on and off, all her life, and
were given 6 boxes of Previcox and sent on our
way. Like you, my immediate concern was to relieve her pain so
this morning I gave her a tablet, then I decided to check on the
Internet, more out of curiosity thant anything else, and I came accross
your article.
I was never told the medication can have dangerous side effects, in fact no information at all was given to us, just to give her the tables. It could very well be that
nothing happens to Orange by taking Previcox but I'm not prepared to
risk it, specially if it is a life long treatment, and will look for
alternative natural therapy for her condition. I'm sorry if I bring back sad
memories by writing to you about this but I wanted you to know that
perhaps you have saved a dog's life and I thank you. With best regards from Spain.
