The first time we give him the tablet, there was some positive response. He was walking better (this is the dangerous part, the owner thinks this is a good medication and continues to give it to the dog). 

After that, he started sleeping more and drinking a lot of water. His walking became worse and worse as his legs would to fold under him while trying to walk. He weighed 25kg (55lbs).

He began salivating but I was thinking it was because I was giving him too much dry food that he was not used to. All these symptoms can be related to old age, I thought. This is the second really dangerous point because I did not understand immediatly his symptoms and the vet prescribe this medication like it was a vitamins. (227mg. Half a pill every day for six months for arthritis)

No advice or information on the danger of this medication was given. At the end, Gonzo was not eating nor walking. His kidney's were dead and he had terrible breath along with vomiting.

The first symptoms were really difficult for me to make the connection to the Previcox because of his age. He was 16. At the end, it was too late.

I really think that this medicine should be removed from the market, it is too dangerous isn't it?

I have the blood test results of my Gonzo from 6 month ago (before starting the  Previcox). They show kidneys in perfect working order. The blood test of last week show the complete destruction of the kidneys.

Please try to remove this medication from the market.
