"Toby"

Hello,

I was so sorry to read your article on Rowdy. I believe my dear little Toby is suffering from Previcox poisoning.  On September 17, he was prescribed an antibiotic (clindamycin) prior to teeth cleaning and Previcox for tooth pain.

Over the next 24 hour period, I gave him two Previcox tablets.  His breathing became labored immediately so I discontinued the Previcox. I gave him montmorillinite clay (for poisoning) and he improved immediately. His appetite came back and he was himself again. However on the next appt. the vet strongly recommended he go back on another antibiotic. Now he is sicker and seems to be slipping away.  This weekend he is too weak to walk.

He was fine before the Previcox. I am distraught at not knowing what to do.

Terry

I've been trying to write back.  We lost Toby on October 15th and are grief stricken.

I want to tell you how much it meant to me that you contacted me. You were on vacation and calling back was a kind, generous thing to do. Even though Toby didn't make it, talking to you helped more than you could imagine.

For those of us who love our doggies so much, your work in getting out the word about Previcox is important. I've been passing on the info and your website address.

This is a difficult period time for our family in a number of other ways, so losing our two 'babies' seven weeks apart has been devastating. (Of course losing our precious ones, is hard for anyone, any time, under any circumstance).

I thank you and your sister for all your good work and I plan to stay in touch.
I'll write more again. Today, it's still hard to just say his name.

My best to you with heartfelt gratitude,

Terry
