Dear Mel,

I live with my family in Curitiba, Brazil. We had a 6 month old Saint Bernard called Beethoven who died after taking 3 Previcox pills.

Our beloved puppy started feeling pain in his leg. After a radiography the vet diagnosed a bad link between the femur and pelvis and gave us Previcox for pain relief. With the first pill his breath became very hard. Suddenly he could no longer stand up. We and the vet thought that these are all symptoms due to the pain. He stopped eating and drinking and the vet said that this was normal and was caused by the pain. A few hours after the 3rd pill he stretched his legs and neck and died.
No one could explain what happened. He was only 6 months! The vet said it could be a heart attack. Other vets mentioned that could be a reaction to the medication, hence I`ve Google Previcox and found your website.

It was a great relief for us to understand what happened through the information we found on your website. Many thanks!

It is amazing how this little dog (not that little!) changed my family life in a short period of time.

Regards,

Adalberto
