Previcox Emails
"Rudy" It all started with a limp. Like any good pet owner, I took Rudy to a local veterinary hospital on a Thursday afternoon to see why he was limping. He was a very healthy and happy 165 pound Rottweiler. After a brief exam, Rudy was prescribed 227mg tabs of Previcox which were supposed to be dispensed two at a time, once a day for shoulder pain. I was given no warning of any side effects about this drug. These were given to him as soon as I got him home, and the next morning there was vomit at the foot of the bed. I wasn’t sure why, but he had issues in the past with eating too quickly and regurgitating, so I paid no attention to it. He continued to vomit throughout the next day, so I called the vet immediately and was told by the tech to increase his Reglin to three capsules. This was apparently working because Rudy did not throw up anymore that evening. On Saturday morning I awoke to more vomit, and upon searching the Web for information on the drug, happened upon your website. As a result of the information provided I immediately threw the pills away and hoped that he would get better once it was out of his system.
Rudy continued to deteriorate until his body just gave out. Six
tablets in three days and he was dead. Needless to say I am
devastated and my heart broken. He was my best friend and only five
years old. Lowell |
