I recently took my dog to a vet clinic when I noticed she had not gone to the bathroom for a couple of days and seemed bloated. After the visit, the vet advised me she was full of "gas" and prescribed Previcox. A few days later I went to the Internet to research the drug and came across your article. I could not believe what I read and am very sorry for your loss.

After further research I realized that the drug was an anti inflammatory drug for arthritis and wondered why it was prescribed by my vet. I'm currently attempting to contact my vet for answers on why this drug would be administered for an intestinal issue. I am also very upset and have discontinued giving this drug to our pet. Is there anything else that can be done? This obviously was an unnecessary prescription for "Gas".  Thanks for your site, it has opened my eyes and will make me question the vets even more from now on.
