I can't thank you enough for the information on your website. I am so sorry for your loss of Rowdy, he is truly a beautiful boy - all of our buddies are!
I have always had Labs, my latest is Sam. I rescued him a year ago and he came to me with dysplasia at the tender age of three. He'll be four in May and now has arthritis in his knees.
He is 3' at the head, 40" long and 107 lbs - although he is built big he should lose 10lbs, but at his vet check yesterday they wanted to put him on Previcox.
The vet, not my regular vet, talked so fast about technical terms I was not familiar with that I could not even begin to ask a question - I didn't know what she was talking about.
I felt stupid but I said "No - I'll wait". Sam has never slowed down since I've had him, in fact has gotten stronger because of the glucosamine I give him. It's obvious just by looking that his legs are weak and my heart aches for the pain he may be in now and certainly will have in the future.
Your website has given me a profound start on how to manage my boys condition! I thank you again and wish the best to you. |
